With the price of gasoline spiraling out of control, many people are finding that they need an alternative. Park models make great vacation cabins, and can be great for dropping onto a piece of property, as opposed to towing a fifth wheel or a camper back and forth.
Besides putting them onto a piece of property for weekend getaways, others are actually finding them quite liveable, and completely replacing their old and dated single-wides with these modern marvels.
A park model home can even make a great “mother-in-law apartment” too, since they’re far lower than the cost of new construction, and they can be set up in in very little space.
They start at about $20,000, and go up from there, and they’re growing in popularity because in nearly all states, you don’t even have to have a building permit to set one up.
Financing is not a problem either, because with the lower cost of these units, obtaining a manufactured home loan is much easier for park models.
In many cases, people can even just pay cash! All in all, considering how the economy is right now, these housing and vacation home alternatives will likely continue to gain in poplarity over the coming years.
