While you are touring the Central Arizona area you may wish to tour Pueblo Grande Museum which is an archaeological site museum and repository. The focus of the museum is developing the knowledge of prehistory, history, and ethnology of inhabitants of the Southwest.  The museum is positioned at a 1,500 year-old Hohokam village ruins.  You can discover reproductions of the prehistoric Hohokam homesteads when exploring the ruin trail.  At the site is also one of the last surviving intact Hohokam irrigation canals. This is a remarkable piece of Hohokam history.

Head on down to Tombstone where you can discover the Old West.  Tombstone was known as “The Town Too Tough To Die,” and is the most infamous of Arizona’s historic mining camps.  This region produced millions of dollars of gold and silver throughout a seven year period.  While you are visiting Tombstone you will have the opportunity to visit Boothill Graveyard, the old Tombstone Courthouse and see many of the residents dressed in period clothing. 

Near Tucson you may want to visit the Titan Missile Museum which was home to one of the Titan II Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles.  There were 18 Titan II missile sites located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.  The Titan Missile Museum is the only Titan Missile site that remains intact; all the others were destroyed.  You can take a guided tour that includes the launch control room with a simulated launch and then go on through the 200 ft tunnel for an in person inspection at the Titan II missile.  It’s an awesome tour, be sure to make time to visit.

Travel on over to Yuma and visit the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park.  Here you will be able to visit the prison that housed 3,069 prisoners, 29 of whom were women.  The prison was last used in 1909 when the prisoners were moved to a new prison.  Today you can tour the prison and look at the front gate that is so familiar to anyone that has watched western movies.

One of the easiest ways to bring down your SAT writing score is to write the WRONG kind of paragraph. Here’s an example from the topic “Does one need
discipline in order to be successful?

Helen Keller is a great example for self-discipline. Although she had a lot of help from her teacher Annie Sullivan, Helen overcame her disability to hear and see and became to be a bright and inspiring woman. It was not easy for Helen to learn, but discipline form Annie was just enough to do the trick.

What’s wrong with this paragraph?

1. It does not restate the thesis in the first sentence. Saying “Helen Keller is a great example of self-discipline” does not speak to the topic which asks “Does one need self-discipline in order to succeed?”

2. Although this paragraph gives good background information, it does NOT give us the logic that proves whether or not we need discipline to succeed.

3. Finally this paragraph does not restate it’s main point at the end. As a result, this essay which had several paragraphs like this scored a 3 out of 12. The lowest score you can get for an on-topic essay is 2. Don’t let this happen to you.

There’s a super, ninja trick to getting your brain to absorb information like a sponge that’s been baking in the hot sun.

I learned this trick some time ago. And when I used it to prepare a proposal for a client, I was able to reduce the research time from 40 hours to about 40 minutes using this technique (I know it sounds unbelievable but when I tell you how it works, you’ll see why it’s totally possible for you too.)

Anyhow, here’s the tip:

Before you open up a book or article that you’re going to study or use for research write down all the questions you want answered. Then try to answer the questions with whatever knowledge you have and even make up things that are NOT true to answer the question.

I know this sounds strange but keep reading, When you do this, your brain gets primed and ready to learn the REAL information in the book or article.

Your mind becomes focused like a laser beam on the information you need. And if you’re doing research, you’re able to easily bypass the information you do NOT need to answer your questions. That’s how I saved 40 hours of research for my client’s proposal.

I noticed I only needed to answer three questions with the big stack of research materials on my desk. I didn’t actually NEED to read them all. So what I did was skim through the materials and find exactly what I needed to write the proposal and no more.

You can use this idea for any paper you’ll write in high school or college too. And of course when studying for the SAT Essay or any other part of the SAT the same tip applies. Write out what questions you want answered. Answer them. Then find the REAL answers in the text.

The lifeblood of any fertile soil is organic matter. It is that which allows the soil to retain water better and hold nutrients in. Porosity of soil makes it more water absorbent. And the more water the soil absorbs, the lesser chance your plants die from shortage of water supply. Plus, the soil’s ability to hold nutrients can very well mean the difference between a scraggly, sickly looking plant and a lush, green shrub.

Using natural fertilizers in your garden or farm will help improve the soil “tilth.” By that, we mean the condition or health of the soil. That’s because natural fertilizer is less likely to burn the lawn or leach down through the soil and into groundwater.

Natural fertilizer does not destroy the naturally occurring organic matter in soil. Instead, it enhances it. A large complement of minerals ranging from nitrogen to phosphorous for plant growth is contained in natural fertilizer so your plants can grow and stay healthy.

However, when you use natural fertilizers, you should keep in mind that they contain relatively low amounts of nutrients, especially if you compare them with other fertilizers with more concentrated nutrients, such as 10-10-10. So, when you do use natural fertilizers on your plants, be prepared for the extra long time it will take and the effort you will have to exert in order to incorporate the fertilizer in your garden.

You see, natural fertilizers are often made of all-natural biodegradable materials, such as chopped vegetable peelings, compost, dried blood and the like. These materials will decompose as time goes, during which the bacteria and fungi that help in the decomposition process develop.

It takes awhile for the bacteria and fungi to break down natural fertilizers. And it takes them even longer to convert these organic materials into nutrients that plants require for their food. That is why you need to plan ahead when you decide to use natural fertilizers.

Another thing. Natural fertilizers tend to be more expensive than the conventional products in the market. That’s just how it goes. Even organic foods are considerably more on the expensive side compared to the alternatives. That’s why most people prefer to use chemical fertilizers as opposed to natural fertilizers since the former has more concentrated nutrients for a lesser price.

But price should not be your only criteria when buying fertilizers. There are several advantages of using natural fertilizers instead of chemically processed ones. Though natural fertilizers may produce slower results and are far from cheap, they are more cost effective, as you will soon find out. You could try making your own compost and have free natural fertilizer.

When you apply natural fertilizers, it is essential that you test the soil first. This is needed because you want to know what type of soil your garden or farm has, whether it is loamy, sandy, or clay.

After soil testing, you should also try to bring nutrient levels up to adequate levels before even attempting to add natural fertilizers. This is so because the natural fertilizers should only serve as supplemental nutrients. With each year that passes, the soil will lose its nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium as these chemicals will be fast absorbed by your plants. When that happens, then it is time for you add some more natural fertilizers.

Many RNs go into management, but usually they first have to hold a BSN (bachelors of science degree in nursing). Mortgages or home loans (hipotecas) are available from most Spanish banks (for residents and non-residents), foreign banks in Spain, and overseas and offshore banks. In recent years, Spanish and foreign lenders have arranged a record number of spanish mortgages, the average amount borrowed being around 250000

The amount you can borrow depends on various factors such as your income, trade or profession, whether you’re an employee or self-employed, and whether you’re married, and if so, whether your partner works. Lenders may also have a maximum lending limit based on a percentage of your income, but this isn’t required by law.

Most banks offer mortgages of up to 8 per cent, although non-residents can usually borrow a maximum of 60 per cent only. To obtain a mortgage from a Spanish bank, you must usually provide proof of your monthly income and major outgoings (e.g. loans or commitments). There are no self-assessment mortgages such as in the UK and mortgages without proof of income (although advertised in the expatriate press) are difficult to find and virtually non-existent. If you want a Spanish mortgage to buy a property for commercial purposes, you must provide a detailed business plan in Spanish. Note that a mortgage can be assumed by the new owner (called subrogación) when a property is sold, which is a common practice in Spain.
